Parent chat 2025

Hi, brand new uni parent here! Daughter is going to Bangor in a few weeks. We are only about a 90 drive away but I am really going to miss her being around. She will be absolutely fine, it's me I worry about 🤣🤣 Anybody else feel the same?

Yes, I feel exactly the same! I’m so happy for her and it’s exactly what I want for her… but it’s a massive change not to have her here. She’s such an enormous part of our daily lives. I’m sure she’ll be fine … but yes, it’s a huge adjustment.

My second son is going to Bangor. About 2 hours away from home. Will really miss him even though I only see hom at meal times. He's applied for his student rail card so that he can come home when he wants plus Bangor is a nice place to visit.
With my eldest we planned ahead when we were going to see each other next then I had something to look forward to and his absence wasn't just a long blank ahead

Hi my youngest is starting in Sept. We are about an hour away. He is fortunate to be staying with his two best friend in halls apartment together. Whats your son studying?

My youngest and hisb2 best friends are going too. Thankfully in the same halls apartment in Alaw. He will be studying Pharmacology. We are only an hour away but I'm dreading my baby leaving home
