How to keep daughter safe

I posted previously but for some reason it disappeared. As a parent my biggest, in fact only concern, for my daughter attending university is the high statistics of sexual assault. Obviously this can happen anywhere but at 60% experiencing sexual assault at university it is a concern, especially with her being so far away.
Apart from covers for drinks to prevent spiking, are there any other ways you are encouraging your girls to keep safe? IDo universities have security at their student Union events? My daughter isn't a party girl and has never had a boyfriend so this will be the first time she has been in alot of these types of social situations with alcohol. Any advise welcome.

This is a big worry for me as well, but i dont want to scare her with my worries. At her age i thought i was invincible in situations where i know my parents would have been concerned. I think I have to rely on my daughter being sensible and remembering what we've already spoken about in terms of not making yourself vulnerable through too much drink, being aware of spiking, never leaving your friends behind etc.
