Thanks Joules! Mum of a DD 2022 offer holder for Mathematics at Girton. What a year it’s been so far…

Hi there, DS has an offer for music at Trinity. Someone from his school who's at Queens has asked him to join their orchestra, so he'll probably be spending a fair bit of time there too.

Good luck to your son. Although my daughter is going down the Maths route, she is also taking A level music and choosing colleges/universities with good orchestral opportunities was top of her list!

Hi my son has an offer for Bournemouth...Archaeological Anthropological and Forensic Science. He doesn't want to live in halls due to his autism and I have no idea where to start putting everything into place ie accommodation, finance etc. Any help will be very much appreciated. Thanks
Hi Bex. I think you’ve found yourself on the wrong page as this isn’t for Bournemouth. I think if you go back a few pages you should find yourself on the main university list. Hope you find the help you need. Best wishes.

Thank you! I’ve moved it across. It’s probably my fault I may have given the wrong link.

Thanks, and to your daughter! My son was torn between music and science for quite a long time, and is doing maths and chemistry A-levels along with music. One of his best friends from school will be doing maths at St John's. It's wonderful that there are so many opportunities for interaction between the colleges through extracurricular activities.

I love that she has passions in more than one subject area, as does your son. I am so excited for the opportunities ahead and new friends they are yet to meet. In the meantime, lots of hard work ahead and I wish them all the very best in the weeks to come. Extra challenging for this cohort, I feel, after their GCSEs were whipped away from them without warning…

I agree, it's so exciting for them -- and for us! And, yes, after not taking GCSEs it will be interesting to see how this cohort manages the exams.

DS offer holder for Arabic and ME Studies and Spanish at Downing College. I am from USA, but have lived in the UK for 25+ years. The whole system is so very different (and tbh I am probably too old to remember what it was like when I went to the Uni of Arizona...LOL!)

My son is due to start Vet Med at Magdalene in autumn. Any other Vet Med parents here
My daughter is coming towards the end of her second year at Magdalene reading Spanish and German. She is loving every minute of her time at Cambridge.
How has your daughter found it a Magdalene. What's her accommodation and it's facilities like ?

My son is in his first year at Magdalene (Nearly at the end of it now) Sorry to jump on thread but thought you’d appreciate as much information as you can get. The grounds are beautiful and the location is excellent. My sons room is very dated and basic but functional and he loves it being a history student. Feel free to ask any questions as last year I felt totally overwhelmed and bought lots of things that are still in the packaging.
