Hi, my daughter starting at DMU to study Fashion Design. Accommodation booked at Newarke Point. Everything seems to be sorted - still have a bit of shopping to do, but she's excited and looking forward to starting her Uni journey!

Hope she’s looking forward to coming to Leicester, my son starts Business Management in September but has avoided any stresses with accommodation as chose a local uni 😳😀

Hi, hope they’re excited to be coming to Leicester. Those halls are in a fab spot by the water and a really short walk into the city centre. Only a few minutes walk from a reasonable size Tesco but if they want to make their money stretch further there’s a Lidl within walking distance too. its near the sports centre if that’s of any interest?

Our favourite is probably Wygston’s House its a few minutes walk from the halls and has a few cosy rooms and some comfy chairs
The Globe is fine
Rutland and Derby isn’t as cosy but does food
The pubs on Granby Street and Belvoir (pronounced Beaver) Street tend to be a bit more colourful 😳
