Hi, My daughter moves in on 16th September in Ash (BT9) - Uni has confirmed that they will not miss anything, she has another GB friend moving into Ash BT9 on 9th September - They are as stated staggering Intake as 9th September 2023 is also the Open day for 2024 entries so they will be busy! My daughter has joined a Whats app group already and has been speaking to various people - it's a big change from when I went and had to walk in cold to University - Plus ca change as they say ! :)
How did your daughter find the WhatsApp group?

Hi all. How did it go this weekend for those that moved in? We’re off next weekend. Any last minute packing tips / checking in tips for Ems Village?

All ok here, accommodation is not the BTs but very nice. How was it for your young person? Lots of going out, events all over town and also nice Student union events. How amazing they even have The Pantry which is basically free food refills (pasta, cereal etc) for those who are on a tight budget

I know, the Pantry sounds brilliant. Accommodation is all good - crazy dash around Ikea and Dunelm to get kitted out. Slow start but the GB lunch on Friday was great for getting to meet more people so all OK so far. I think she's just confused with so much free time!! No lectures at all on Mondays and Tuesdays.
