Hi my child will be staying in this accommodation, and I can’t see much in the way of information regarding these details : what can be put on the room walls to put up pictures, fairy lights?, I know blue/tack is not usually allowed? Also, how will I know what pans to purchase for cooking, as I see nothing that states if the hob is induction or not? Does anyone know if there is a detailed document somewhere that I can look at? We had an email confirmation accommodation on Friday, I think keep an eye out for it, maybe they will continue with the emails on Monday as it’s over the weekend.I can’t help with info but can you help me? When, and how, were you told about your allocation?
My son applied for accomodation back in May. The accomodation portal just says applied but no other info. Should we be concerned?
Your son will get an email at some point soon. They seem to be sent out in batches. Just keep checking twice a day (including spam folder). The emails have continued to be sent out over the weekend. Someone on Facebook said about everyone should’ve heard by Tues. You have 48hrs to accept after it’s sent. We got our first choice, and received the email Saturday afternoon. You just get the type of accommodation confirmed now, not specific blocks or rooms. Hopefully that helps.I can’t help with info but can you help me? My son also has been allocated this room type and have been trying to find bedsize. Definitely no blue tack. Having said that we did fix fairy lights to the overhead shelves with blue tack as it didn’t touch the walls and that worked great and came off with zero effort a zero damage. There is so much shelving that pictures and ornaments went on there no need for anything on the wall. I’m pretty sure we just sent her with a wok and frying pan didn’t check if induction! Must have worked fine as she did cook and eat!
All bed sizes are listed on the website - my daughter was in Wessex lane enhanced plus shared bathroom and had a small double.
