St Mary’s posts seem few and far between 😟 but I thought I’d try and start one for this academic year….
Anyone have photos of rooms to share or YP heading there soon?
 
Hi. My daughter starting there also. She is very vague about giving me information and I'm wondering what the accommodation is like also. Any feedback would be appreciated.

My memory of accommodation on open day tour is that it was very hot!! Rooms not too bad in size. Single beds in all types of accommodation choices.
What course is your daughter doing? 😊
 
My son is going to be in Cronin as well! I don't know which block. Extreme vagueness here too :ROFLMAO:
Has anyone got a time slot yet? I believe Sunday 15th is moving in day but I gather from the main group that most YP have been given time slots. My husband wonders if it won't be an issue at St Mary's if they have a lot of parking but in reality we have no idea... Or perhaps we will be given a slot nearer the time?

No time slots released yet as far as I’m aware! I will check with her though as quite a lot of info being sent through. Open day was rammed with cars - they used the field and seemed to work ok? But I’m guessing that time slot will be 15 mins to unload only so when we have to go and find a space to park somewhere. In London. 😱. So good to hook up with some other St Mary’s parents….

She doing sports science. What is yours doing? I don't know what block but I'll ask. My problem is she's very difficult to get information out of. Am I correct to say it starts on 16 September?

Yep I think move in is 15th then launch into freshers on 16th 🥳. Ah sports science is an excellent course I hear. Mine is on phys ed and coaching.
 
My son is doing business management and finance.
Today he told me about the huge Freshers party that is taking place at Pryzm nightclub in Kingston on the Sunday evening. He has bought his ticket. 1800 brand new students will be going. Apparently it sells out every year.
Rather them than me 🤣
 
I believe so.
The Kitchen area has a microwave, kettle and toaster and a couple of fridges. And the communal area has a large TV screen.

She’s doing phys Ed and sports coaching! The time slots are now available on accommodation portal but the student has to complete the induction thingy first apparently. Then they get access to the time slots x
