Hi, have they tried any of the socs? I have a student in 2nd year. She has just joined ladies cricket for the first time and found them to be a really lovely crowd. Also URNU (Uni Navy Unit) and UOTC (Uni army Corps) are great for making friends. Are they in Uni Halls? The ResLife committee should be good for helping out here too. It’s early days. Tell them to take it slowly. It’s ok to survey the options and make friends slowly.

I also asked my daughter and she told me about the Uni of Plymouth Buddy Scheme. It’s run by the SU.
