Hi, my son is looking at Wallscourt for Sept, do you know what the travel links are like as he’ll be studying at Glenside Campus and it looks like he won’t be able to bring his car. Thanks

There is a bus station on the Frenchay Campus and my son says the bus links everywhere are brilliant. I think (although someone may correct me on this) that it is walkable too. The Wallscourt accommodation is great - one of the best I’ve seen.

Thank you that’s good to know, it’s difficult to judge when you haven’t been to any physical open days. Glenside looks a fairly quiet campus plus my son wants ensuite accommodation which isn’t available there.

It must be really difficult. The only time I’ve been is when we dropped him off in October so we haven’t seen any of the facilities but what we saw was great. My son loves his room and they seemed to give thought to who they put together in the flat. He’s having a great time despite the current situation.

Hi, was wondering if you've been allowed to book accommodation at Frenchay if your son's campus is at Glenside? My daughter will be at Bower Ashton and I was told by UWE accommodation that she could only book city centre which is far more expensive.

Hi, my son has finally booked his accommodation at UWE he had to choose 3 campus and 3 City, there didn’t seem a problem booking Frenchay campus. Obviously we don’t know what he will get offered yet. I hope your daughter sorted her accommodation out.

when my son started there 2 years ago I think he was emailed a link once he had made them his firm choice. You could always give the accommodation team a ring - they are very helpful.

My son is hoping for Wallscourt as he’d be on Frenchay - can they put it down 3 times as the campus choice (eg with the different sized apartments) or do they have to make 3 separate campus choices and 3 separate city choices? Many thanks

I can't remember the exact requirements, but my DS certainly only applied for accommodation on the Frenchay campus 2 years ago. He preferred the Village accommodation, but may have put down some Wallscourt too.
