Hi - my son is at Northampton uni on the first year of software engineering, and has moved into St John’s House (next to St John’s Halls).
We originally chose it as it was a bit quieter as my son doesn’t drink or want to go out partying.
However I’ve found out from another son that he’s very unhappy and lonely and barely sees anyone. Also people have left washing up in the kitchen for weeks on end.
I’m finding my son is very closed down with me and when I try to talk to him about it he says he’s fine!
He also comes back most weekend and stays with his Dad as pre university he always stayed with his Dad at the weekend.
Does anyone know if it is possible to change halls mid year? And possibly recommend any halls?
