2025 parent chat

I thought I’d start the chat. My DD is going to Cardiff and will be staying in Aberconway Halls. I’m a Cardiff Graduate so know she’s likely to have a fabulous time there like I did all those years ago.
 
Hi my son is going to Cardiff and will be at Talybont North! He is a twin and his brother is going to Portsmouth Uni. Uni is a first for our family.

Talybont North is where I stayed many years ago, also the first person to go to uni in my family. I loved it there. It’s really close to a huge Tesco and McDonald’s, so convenient for shopping.

That’s a lot for you twins going at the same time.

Yes it’s full on but I know they are both ready for this time!! His brother will be at Portsmouth so not quite as far. Don’t think I’ll know myself with the quietness that is coming 🥴
 
Hi, My DS is going to be at Talybont Court. Just wondering what others are doing about Fresher's week events? Mine is just worrying about them booking up, but equally isn't sure if/what to book without knowing if any of his flat mates etc will be going?!
