My son will start his MA in Economics this September at Heriot-Watt, and we have booked accommodation for September 4th. I

Our twin boys are moving into accommodation on Sat 30th. One will be studying chemical engineering and the other mechanical engineering. Good luck to all those starting at Heriott watt. We were very impressed with both departments at the open days / offer holder days

Good luck for the drive up etc. she’ll love Edinburgh. We live fairly local now but lived in Hertfordshire till after the boys GCSEs.

Our son will be studying aerospace engineering. He’s going to be staying in halls on campus. Has anyone’s young person heard which hall they’ll be staying in yet? Not sure if we get told before arrival or not.

My twin boys know that they’re in the contemporary style rather than the traditional style ( two styles of halls at HW ). They found that out on A level results day. They’ve not been told exact hall or flat yet , only the style of accommodation and they’ve paid the first month rent in advance

That’s the same as my son - he’s also in contemporary style and has made an initial payment. Thanks for your reply - it has provided reassurance that others don’t know full details of accommodation yet!

Same as my daughter contemporary style no named allocation and has paid her first month.

Yes my boys just got theirs through this afternoon too. All getting quite exciting / nervous and real. Good luck to everyone for the weekend

Yes, my son has received an email today with details of his hall too. It’s all getting very real! Hope everything goes well for everyone on moving-in day too.
